We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Site Superintendent for Healthcare Construction to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on state-of-the-art healthcare construction projects that impact the lives of many individuals. The Site Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our construction projects, ensuring that our work meets the highest standards of quality and safety. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in healthcare construction, with the ability to lead and manage a team effectively. This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all aspects of healthcare construction projects from planning to implementation.
2. Allocate resources for assigned projects, ensuring efficient use of materials, labor, and equipment.
3. Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors.
4. Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, and clients.
5. Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
6. Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant job site.
7. Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
8. Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
9. Review the work progress on a daily basis.
10. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
11. Meet contractual conditions of performance.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Site Superintendent, specifically within the healthcare construction industry.
2. Proven track record of successfully overseeing healthcare construction projects from start to finish.
3. Strong knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, OSHA guidelines, and building codes.
4. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
5. Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
6. Proficient in MS Office and construction management software.
7. Outstanding organizational and time-management skills.
8. Ability to handle and resolve conflicts in a professional manner.
9. BSc/BA in construction science, engineering, or relevant field is a plus.
10. PMP or an equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
