The role is primarily focused on the design, procurement, setup, monitoring, and long-term operations of critical systems that our office and factories rely upon, including networks, servers, directory services, security, hardware, software, video conferencing systems. Responsibilities
As a Senior Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for
- Managing, monitoring, and troubleshooting the daily operations of our Linux and Windows servers.
- Implementing and maintaining Microsoft Active Directory, ensuring the security and integrity of our company's data.
- Administering and optimizing PostgreSQL and MySQL databases to guarantee high performance and responsiveness.
- Managing Apache Kafka for real-time data streaming and processing.
- Deploying and managing web applications on Tomcat.
- Overseeing the Hyper-V virtual environment, including creating, configuring, and managing virtual machines.
- Participating in DevOps processes, including automating deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.
- Developing and implementing disaster recovery procedures and conducting regular system backups.
- Working closely with the IT team to identify potential issues and propose solutions.
- Providing technical support and guidance to staff, assisting with system issues, and ensuring optimal system performance.
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in system administration, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of Linux distributions and Windows Server.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Apache Kafka.
- Proficiency in managing Microsoft Active Directory.
- Familiarity with Tomcat and Hyper-V.
- Experience in DevOps environment and practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
