Job Details
We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a manufacturing environment and possess a strong understanding of GAAP principles. This is a full-time position that requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in staff accounting.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for multiple entities
- Perform month-end and quarter-end close activities
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and procedures
- Provide support for audits and other ad-hoc projects as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with GAAP
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in staff accounting
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Experience with payroll processing is a plus
