Role Description
We are seeking a Superintendent for work at a project site located near Cadiz, OH. The Superintendent is a key on-site leader for the company and has the responsibility and accountability for the construction work completed by trade contractors.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented Permanent Superintendent to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing diverse construction projects, including commercial, higher education, healthcare, K-12, industrial, justice, and public sector. This position requires an individual who is a natural leader, highly organized, and has a keen eye for quality and safety. The Permanent Superintendent will be the point person for on-site operations, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring that they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Review and study project specifications and blueprints to determine construction methods, scheduling, manpower levels, material quantities, and equipment requirements.
- Manage and supervise construction workers and subcontractors, providing guidance and direction as needed.
- Ensure all construction operations are in compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
- Meet contractual conditions of performance, providing regular status reports to upper management.
- Review work progress on a daily basis, addressing any issues or delays as they arise.
- Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
- Participate in the conceptual development of a construction project, overseeing its organization, scheduling, and implementation.
- Conduct quality control checks, inspecting work to ensure it meets the necessary specifications and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry.
- Extensive experience in overseeing commercial, higher education, healthcare, K-12, industrial, justice, and public sector construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of building processes and construction principles.
- Excellent knowledge of construction material and equipment.
- Understanding of all facets of the construction process, including effective management of people and resources.
- Ability to read and understand complex architectural and engineering drawings.
- Proven ability to solve problems creatively, handling conflict and crisis situations effectively and professionally.
- Excellent leadership and human resources management skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Good physical condition and stamina to work long hours and handle physically demanding work.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field is preferred.
