Job Details

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of construction project supervision from planning to implementation.
• Allocate resources for assigned projects, including labor, materials, and time.
• Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
• Review work progress on a daily basis and adjust schedules or plans as needed.
• Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
• Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, and clients.
• Ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, and local and state regulations are met.
• Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
• Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts, and obtain necessary permits and licenses.
• Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven working experience in construction management for 5 years, with a focus on overseeing projects from conception to completion.
• Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods.
• Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
• Competent in conflict and crisis management.
• Excellent time and project management skills, with proven ability to stick to deadlines.
• Proficient in using construction management software.
• Strong leadership and human resources management skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• BSc/BA in engineering, construction science, or relevant field.
• PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
• Demonstrated understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.
• Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
• Good knowledge of MS Office and construction/project management software.
• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• A team player with leadership abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
