Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review corporate tax returns and financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws.
- Provide tax advisory services to the management team, offering insights and recommendations on tax planning and strategies to optimize tax efficiency.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify potential tax liabilities and risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Familiarity with pertinent IRC sections and regulations.
- Keep abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations, and update the organization's tax policies and procedures accordingly.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, including the calculation of tax provisions.
- Collaborate with other departments to implement tax strategies and resolve tax-related issues.
- Provide training and guidance to junior staff on tax accounting matters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on corporate tax.
- Proficient in tax preparation software and financial reporting systems.
- Excellent knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax matters in a clear and understandable manner.
- High level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to handle sensitive financial information confidentially.
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of tax accounting.
