Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement a comprehensive design strategy that aligns with the company's business goals and objectives.
2. Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing design team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
3. Oversee the entire design process, from conceptualization to final execution, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, user-centric design solutions.
4. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and marketing, to ensure the design vision is integrated into the product development process.
5. Engage with customers to understand their needs and preferences, and incorporate this feedback into the design process.
6. Establish and maintain design standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency across all product lines.
7. Stay abreast of the latest design trends, technologies, and methodologies, and incorporate these into the design strategy as appropriate.
8. Represent the design team in executive-level discussions and decision-making processes.
Qualifications
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a design leadership role, preferably in the technology industry.
2. Proven experience in UX strategy, UI design, and leading design teams.
3. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective design strategies that align with business objectives.
4. Strong leadership skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing design teams.
5. Exceptional customer-facing skills, with the ability to understand and incorporate customer feedback into the design process.
6. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively articulate design concepts and decisions to stakeholders at all levels.
7. Strong knowledge of design tools, technologies, and methodologies, and the ability to stay current with the latest design trends.
8. A portfolio of work that demonstrates a user-centric approach to design and a strong aesthetic sensibility.
