Job Details
- Welding and laying out parts
- Keeping welding equipment clean and operational
- Welding components MIG or TIG
- Using handheld plasma, acetylene torches, grinders and drill presses
- Welding parts to specification.
- Following established fabrication procedures
MUST HAVE, experience with MAJORITY of the following:
- Experience in a welding shop environment
- Ability to adjust amperage and welding wire feed values for various materials
- Fixturing set-up
- Journeyman card preferred
- Read and understand prints and tolerances
- Use measuring instruments such as tape measures and calipers
- Efficiently welding parts start to finish
- Determining appropriate bracing and temporary supports of structural build
- Welding implements- horizontal, vertical and overhead
- Geometry concepts
