About the Opportunity
We are seeking a passionate and skilled accountant to join our Controls Oversight team within the Controller’s Organization. As a Controls Oversight Associate II, you will work with a diverse team of professionals committed to delivering high-quality work in a timely and accurate manner. Your role will involve contributing to the financial controls processes and overseeing deficiencies in the CFO organization. About the Team
As part of the broader Accounting Policy/Advisory and Controls Oversight team in the Controllers Organization of Corporate Finance, you will play a crucial role in monitoring the financial controls environment. Our team is dedicated to making a significant impact and operates in a culture of accountability and collaboration. We work closely with internal stakeholders and external auditors/project consultants to improve the quality of our control environment and enhance our processes as a team.
Your Responsibilities
- Monitor control deficiencies impacting the company’s financial statements, working with process/deficiency owners to assess risks and develop effective remediation plans
- Support and oversee testing of internal controls
- Assist in managing and reporting on control issue trends
- Collaborate with the broader Controller’s Organization to standardize control deficiency assessments and development of remediation plans
- Improve efficiency and effectiveness of controls through targeted quality review procedures
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in financial analysis and reporting
- Knowledge of US GAAP or statutory accounting/reporting
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or equivalent
- At least 5 years of experience in financial analysis and reporting
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Accountability and commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Ability to independently research and resolve complex business problems
- Focused on customer service, change & innovation, strategic thinking, relationship building & influencing
- Proactive and able to take ownership of assignments
- Desire to continue learning and expanding knowledge
- Strong multitasking skills and ability to adapt to change
- Experience in Finance transformation and driving continuous improvements
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
