What you will be doing:

Quantitative Analyst to analyze Card Solutions portfolio, providing data and views on portfolio elements, volumes and business trends for improved portfolio knowledge and forecasting.

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops Card Solutions financial models through research and creation of new mathematical equations for a client portfolio view, and the changing demands of the market events.
  • Creates transaction and sales volume projection model prototypes that productize innovative models that address current and future problems in financial and client profile modeling.
  • Contributes to framework design software, models into software pattern.
  • Documents clear and concise Card Solution volume, trend and forecast reports.
  • Explains financial software model and maintenance by authoring functional requirements, functional design, technical design specifications and effort estimates.
  • Verifies that new and existing Card Solution volume and financial models are correct and are appropriate for their intended use.
  • Understands and applies, payment industry standard model validation best-practice in their work and processes where appropriate.
  • Performs large scale system software testing as well as the development of regression tests for all newly coded models.
  • Defends, validates and assesses model choices and assumptions in high-pressure environments such as during client engagements.
  • Understands the realities of model development and is able to make pragmatic and business-aware choices when trading-off sophistication and accuracy versus implementation and performance costs.
  • Communicates development progress and work within a wider project managed engagement giving timely and reliable updates and advice.
  • Other related duties assigned as needed.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science or related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

  • Communicates ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise, and professional manner
  • Requires good working knowledge of FIS systems as well as the industries in which FIS competes for business
  • Ability to understand and apply concepts
  • Ability to handle projects commensurate with job expectations
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems using learned techniques and tools
  • Team skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships both internally as well as externally
  • Flexibility, versatility, dependability

  • Broad knowledge of FIS products and related services; in-depth knowledge of products and services for which team(s) provide support

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Some flexibility of hours is required

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $123,810.00 - $207,980.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
