Job Description.
The John Birch Society is looking for leaders in the community to influence activism in the fight to keep our Republic. These Patriots are called Coordinators (Constitutional Accountability).
- This position requires travel throughout your State or Territory.
- Some Territories are smaller than the State while some Territories include multiple states.
- You will be meeting with members, speaking at events, and attending special recruiting events to push the Conservative message.

Purpose of the Coordinator Position.
To build the organizational structure, activity, and influence of The John Birch Society within his/her assigned territory, i.e., building, motivating, and managing an effective grassroots organization.

General Responsibilities:
- The Coordinator is responsible for the recruitment of members and the building of chapters and sections.
- You will be directly and primarily responsible for the growth and health of the organization within his/their territory.
- Find, train, motivate, and supervise chapter leaders and section leaders.
- The Coordinator is accountable for their productivity and will work with them regularly.
- You will then evaluate each volunteer leader’s effectiveness and will implement training programs to improve their skills every quarter.
- The Coordinator’s priority is to establish new chapters and strengthen existing chapters.
- His/her secondary responsibilities include establishing committees such as SYLP, Con-Con, Get US Out, etc.
- As a leader, the Coordinator is responsible for the influence that the organization exercises.
- He/she must find and develop leaders who will assume responsibility for the success of local projects.
- Coordinators must not lead chapters, speakers’ committees, or other local projects; they are professionals, not paid volunteers!
- Develop effective leadership for standing committees and special activities.
- The Coordinator must cooperate with all races and religions in a manner of goodwill, consistent with The John Birch Society's aims.
- Develop a growing base of financial support through donations and or Continued Support Club (CSC) contributions to be self-funded.
The Coordinator must live within his/her territory's primary zone that has the most significant potential for success. The location will be a prerequisite for his employment.
Travel is a necessary part of the Coordinator's duties. In general, two weeks per month work schedule is within your home zone; the remaining time could be requiring lodging. The travel schedule is dependent based on activities or events that require greater attention for success. We recommend that each Coordinator have available a vehicle that is in good working order and meets State safety standards. A coordinator can expect to work 40 to 60 hours a week.
