Responsibilities:

• Patient Care:
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Acute Rehab/Medical Surgical unit.
• Conduct patient assessments, develop care plans, and implement nursing interventions based on individual patient needs.
• Medication Management:
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, monitoring for effectiveness and potential side effects.
• Ensure accurate documentation of medication administration and patient responses.
• Collaboration:
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Patient Education:
• Educate patients and their families on the nature of their medical conditions, treatment plans, and self-care strategies.
• Provide information about post-discharge care and follow-up appointments.
• Quality Assurance:
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the enhancement of patient care and safety.
• Adhere to established protocols and standards of care to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Education and Licensure:
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in Indiana.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Acute Rehabilitation and/or Medical Surgical nursing.
• Skills:
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Job Types: Travel nursing, Contract

Salary: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
