Responsibilities:
- Patient Care:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Acute Rehab/Medical Surgical unit.
- Conduct patient assessments, develop care plans, and implement nursing interventions based on individual patient needs.
- Medication Management:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, monitoring for effectiveness and potential side effects.
- Ensure accurate documentation of medication administration and patient responses.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
- Patient Education:
- Educate patients and their families on the nature of their medical conditions, treatment plans, and self-care strategies.
- Provide information about post-discharge care and follow-up appointments.
- Quality Assurance:
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the enhancement of patient care and safety.
- Adhere to established protocols and standards of care to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Education and Licensure:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current RN license in Indiana.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Acute Rehabilitation and/or Medical Surgical nursing.
- Skills:
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Job Types: Travel nursing, Contract
Salary: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
