The Planning Manager will report directly to the Senior Director of Planning and be responsible for overseeing the forecasting and buying processes, with a primary focus on maintaining an optimal inventory position. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate across sales channels to develop accurate demand forecasts for all product categories, including best sellers.
- Utilize historical data, market trends, and promotional calendars to optimize forecast accuracy.
- Implement buying strategies that are aligned with demand forecasts and sales goals.
- Monitor inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess inventory.
- Provide actionable insights to the Senior Director of Planning to optimize inventory efficiency and product availability.
- Manage inventory for Pinnacle product to ensure within inventory budget and assist in guidance of product movement across channels
- Collaborate with Marketing team to align planning strategies with product launches and promotional activities.
- Manage the seasonal buys and weekly replenishment for US Boutiques
- Analysis of store performance by collection, lifecycle and price points to guide inventory planning
- Partner with Store teams and Visual Merchandising on floor plans, utilizing selling insights.
- Work closely with wholesale teams to understand and meet the unique assortment needs of collective wholesale partners, including consignment, drop ship, and events
- Conduct regular analysis of sales trends, inventory turns, and other KPI’s for overall business, and assist with any hind-sight reporting
- Assist with merchandise planning projects to deep-dive into collection reviews, and bring insights to Merchandising team on product trends and opportunities
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, or a related fashion field. Preferably jewelry, or accessory experience.
- Proven experience in planning and inventory management, preferably in the luxury retail sector.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in forecasting tools and systems.
- Proficient in Excel, including V-Lookups, Pivots, etc.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
