Morning Dietary Aide
5:45 AM - 2:30 PM // 4 days on 2 days off
The Morning Dietary Aide assists in the preparation and service of meals and nourishments. He/she will perform daily tasks in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, the facility's established policies and procedures as directed by the Dietary Manager.
1. Prepares food accortding to planned menus and established portion control procedures.
2. Uses food preparation methods that conserves nutritive value, flavor, and appearance.
3. Uses standardized recipes based on standard portion size to prepare required amounts of food and control serving portions.
4. Maintains work area in safe sanitary condition.
5. Ensure meals are served completely and accurate according to menu and residents' diet cards and food preferences.
6. Maintains residents' dignity, respects their rights, and holds in confidence resident communication and records.
Physical and Sensory Requirements
1. Ability to see, hear, distinguish smells, tastes, and temperatures.
2. Ability to read and write in English
3. Ability to communicate with employees, residents, and others
4. Ability to remain calm under stress
5. Ability to stand on feet for minimum 5 hours daily. Ability to walk, reach, bend, lift a minimum of 25 lbs, grasp/fine motor skills
