Assistant Store Manager
- Johnny’s Markets is a fun, friendly place, and you play a major role! Morning, noon, and night, we rely on Assistant Store Managers’ support in managing all areas of the store during their shift. Taking good care of our customers is our first priority, so you must lead the way in making our customers glad they stopped in, and inspire others to do the same.
- The Assistant Store Manager sets an example for Customer Service Specialists in following company standards and making sure the store is clean, stocked, safe, and looking great. Since the facility operates twenty-four hours a day, 365 days a year, the Assistant Store Manager will be responsible for the facility’s operations during the second and third shifts and on the days that the Store Manager is not present.
What You’ll Do
- Set an example in excellent customer service by ensuring efficient and courteous customer transactions in a friendly environment.
- Ensure Company cleanliness and appearance standards are maintained.
- Perform human resource functions, including training and supervising employees, while following Company HR policies and applicable laws.
- Maximize sales through proper execution of Company initiatives while controlling manageable operating expenses within Company guidelines.
- Work with vendors in a professional manner, and address customer complaints promptly and politely.
- Complete required bookwork and related tasks as necessary, and provide essential documents to Company offices.
What You’ll Need
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, customers, supervisors, and vendors, in a courteous and professional manner
- Ability to pay close attention to detail, adapt well to change, and multi-task
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to drive your personal vehicle to perform work related activities
- Bachelor’s degree or two (2) years of related experience and / or training, or the equivalent combination of experience and / or training
- Basic computer and software knowledge (Microsoft Word, Excel, and email)
- Must be able to work any area of the restaurant when needed and operate a computerized Point of Sale system. Position requires bending, standing, and walking, the entire workday.
- Ability to lift weights up to 50 lbs., and frequently carry weights up to 10 lbs.
