If so, we are looking for someone like you to join our Facilities Maintenance and Operations team at JHU APL.

We are seeking a new member to join an existing team in the Operational Support Section to lead Vendor maintenance and service of critical APL infrastructure and equipment on a campus with over 3.5 million GSF of facilities. As the Infrastructure Services Coordinator, you will collaborate with numerous levels of a 70 member Maintenance and Operations Group to ensure awareness, operational reliability, stability of service, and compliance with APL’s critical infrastructure.

Execution Proficiencies: You will...

  • Working closely with the FMN leaders, section supervisors, as well as across the laboratory, to enhance the impact of our new GIS platform, ensuring that FMN and other departments have the infrastructure information needed to complete maintenance tasks. Examples of existing assets are Roofs UPS, ATS Emergency Generators, Elevators, Boilers, Chillers, Chemical / Fuel Tank Systems, Gas Monitors, and Meters.
  • Collaborate with our CMMS system manager to ensure assets records are current.
  • Work closely with FMN and FDC to efficient the process for early identification of new assets.

Operational Proficiencies: You will...

  • Assist in organizing over 30 Vendor maintenance & service agreements for critical APL infrastructure including Elevators, Emergency Generators, and Mechanical / Electrical Equipment.
  • Ensure that APL remains aligned with all local, state, and federal requirements for assets through collective and sophisticated scheduling.
  • Assist in responding to, coordinating, and implementing emergency repairs to critical asset failures that require Vendor support.
  • Assist in developing and drafting technical scopes of work, and work closely with APL contract managers to ensure suitable procurement of Vendor contracts.
  • Efficient assess Vendor contracts to optimize quality and overall value.

Qualifications

You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...

 

  • Have four years demonstrated ability in a maintenance and operations organization.
  • Are immensely organized, and able to effectively plan for both long-term and near-term tasks.
  • Have a solid understanding of Electrical, HVAC, and Mechanical equipment and systems to anticipate and be prepared to provide Vendor support.
  • Ability to schedule and prioritize preventative maintenance and response activities relating to critical infrastructure.
  • Possess strong communication, collaboration, customer service skills and ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Possess a solid understanding of basic Windows applications and Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Are able to think strategically and provide the overall success of the organization.
  • Possess unquestionable integrity and the ability to effectively interact with all levels of staff.
  • Can demonstrate that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.   • Possess an IFMA Certified Facility Management credential or similar qualification
