Position Summary:
Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center is seeking an inpatient Registered Dietitian to join our innovative Clinical Nutrition Team. This individual would work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary health care team to promote wellness, maintain current health, and/or intervene in acute or chronic illness through evidence-based practices. This position involves assessing nutritional status, formulating and participating in implementation of nutrition care plans, including all aspects of nutrition support, counseling and education; as well as teaching and supervising dietetic interns and students.
Education:
Completion of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Licensure/Certification:
Requires registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Must be a Licensed Dietitian-Nutritionist within the State of Maryland or be eligible to apply for licensure prior to hire.
Required Work Experience:
Entry-level will be considered.

Work requires the analytical skills to collect information from diverse sources, apply professional principles in performing various analyses, and summarize the information and data in order to solve problems or design relatively complex systems and programs that cross department/divisional lines.
Work requires the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations. Work requires the ability to counsel and educate patients. Work requires the ability to teach students.
