What you will do:
The mission of Johnson Controls is to provide solutions for a more comfortable, safe, and balanced world. As part of the Johnson Controls Building Efficiency business, the large tonnage chiller team applies this mission to building and process equipment, providing solutions for a more comfortable, safe, and balanced building environment for owners and occupants.
As a member of the Chiller Solutions Team, we would like you to will apply technology and the principles of control theory, thermodynamics, and heat transfer to develop algorithms, control sequences, and system solutions for commercial and industrial HVAC equipment.

What you will do it:
- Analyzes, designs, modifies and/or troubleshoots electrical components and systems for chillers.
- Build drawings in AutoCad electrical
- Familiar with Creo or other modeling software
- Aptitude and curiosity about controls
- Knowledge or desire to work with Allen Bradley PLCs
- Ensure designs enforce to NEC requirements.
- Build electrical layout for components, conduit, wiring, and controls.
- Establish standards and maintains and updates documentation
- Works with internal and external customers
- Build controls proposals
- Performs functional testing of control strategies at the test block
- Support Application Engineers with any field related issues
- Communicate project status to the managers and work with multi-functional teams to meet those goals.
What we look for:
- Analytical problem solver and well-adapted in applying robust design methodologies and engineering principles (modeling, simulation, statistics, data acquisition, etc.) to develop and realize solutions.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and interact directly with electronics engineers, mechanical engineers, software developers, systems engineers, and research engineers to develop system-wide solutions.
- A qualified individual shall have a minimum of BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics. Engineers with 2 years associates degrees who are working towards a BS will be considered.
