Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Our company is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic with three or more years of experience, preferably in an industrial setting. This position is for third shift and will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on production and assembly machinery. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow and comply with company work and safety rules.
• Diagnose and repair assembly machines specific to the air filter industry.
• Read technical manuals to understand equipment operation.
• Adjust and calibrate equipment and machinery to optimal specifications.
• Check performance of machinery.
• Maintains work area, tools and equipment in a clean and orderly manner.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include acute natural or corrected close vision. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job successfully. • EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 3 or more years of relevant experience. Degree or certificate in industrial maintenance a definite plus.

• LANGUAGE SKILLS: Fluent in English. Ability to read and comprehend instructions.

• GENERAL SKILLS: Ability to use trade math (a clear understanding of fractions/decimals), read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics. The ability to use precision measuring instruments and tools.

• REASONING ABILITY: Requires the use of considerable judgement to perform difficult maintenance work, diagnose equipment problems and make repairs, modifications and adjustments.
