We are seeking a Project Manager to join our federal team at our Fort McNair/Fort Myer locations.

We help modernize U.S. military installations, Department of Defense and other federal agency facilities to be smarter, more resilient, efficient, sustainable, and secure.
Shift: 6:00am- 3:00pm EST.

As a Project Manager, you will:
Serve as a primary on-site leader for execution on assigned projects.
Manage the selection, scope of work, procurement, quality and payment of project materials, vendors and subcontractors
Negotiates, prepares and issues subcontracts
Develops project schedules and execute according to plan.
Ensures that assigned projects are done accurately, on-time, billed within budget and within scope of the contract.
Ensures work performed is in compliance with state, local and Federal legal requirements and operates on the job with the highest of ethics
Adheres to and ensures project personnel and subcontractors adhere to all safety standards, internal policies, and US Army Corps of Engineers requirements regarding health and safety.
Understand project and contract scopes; actively pursue growth opportunities that will help the customer achieve desired outcomes
Help prepare and approve cost estimates, contract terms & conditions, and technical responses to client requests for information, bids, and proposals
Ensure mechanics, technicians and subcontractors complete assigned work per established standards, and thoroughly communicate the services performed and completion criteria to customers
Complete timely and accurate project billing to maintain profitability goals and positive cash flow
Analyze financial reporting and project schedule to proactively address potential problems.Effectively communicates project progress, issues and financial status to leadership as required
Provide periodic project status updates, and monthly revenue, cost, and gross margin forecasts
Manage risk, establish project recovery plans, and resolve disputes to minimize escalation
Ensure project document controls and deliverables comply with contract requirements and Johnson Controls standards
Manages the selection, ordering, and delivery schedule of materials to be procured for the projects assigned
Coordinates customer-training requirements
Required Qualifications:
Five (5) or more years of direct project management experience in the Building Construction Industry
Experience managing project financials (P&L management experience)
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. Must have the ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience
Proficient in Project Management software and financial accounting systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Project preferred.
Strong personal computer working capabilities in MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) and basic Windows environment
Ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearances as needed. (This involves a background/character, criminal history, employment, and credit check.)
Preferred Qualifications:
Management experience with projects related to HVAC equipment and controls, BAS management, Fire management, and/or Electronic Security Systems
Experience managing projects related to HVAC equipment, controls (direct digital controls) and building automation systems
Experience working with projects including large HVAC mechanical equipment (chillers, boilers, etc)
Experience reading and interpreting government contracts and government procurement standards
Experience managing multiple trades and subcontractors
Preferred Education
Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field, or an Associates Degree with equivalent work related experience
