Position Summary: Process daily technology applications for student application, packaging federal aid, and reporting functions of the financial aid office in compliance with federal, state and institutional policies. Ensure the timely, accurate and compliant processing of financial aid requested reports using SQL or Cognos system. Assist IT department with maintaining and testing data warehouse systems (Cognos and ZogoTech). Assist in testing and developing plans for Banner upgrades for Financial Aid (including new year processing). Assist accountant with reconciling federal funds using Banner and EdConnect software.
- Minimum three years’ experience with writing reports using SQL.
- Good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications: • Ellucian Banner Financial Aid software experience.
- Minimum three years’ experience in higher education; preferably financial aid.
- Experience troubleshooting technical and functional issues within the Banner Financial Aid module.
- Knowledge in developing and maintaining detailed documentation for technology systems and processes.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively to individuals at all levels of the organization with varying levels of understanding.

Position Details: Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Create reports using SQL or Cognos for staff and other offices. Support and assist staff and other departments with financial aid data needed to perform various tasks. Create/Write reports using SQL, Cognos or EDW. Assist IT staff to ensure Data Warehouse software is up to date for report writing.
- Assist with various Business Processes within Banner Financial Aid Module. Run computer-based processes to load FAFSA applications and corrections, exit counseling, student first contact welcome and follow up notifications, and other student notifications. Verify FAFSA corrections are complete and accurate.
- Serve as liaison between Financial Aid and IT services for various software programs. Work with IT representatives to complete set up and reports for software such as Dynamic Forms and Scholarship Manager applications, Assist Sr FAIS Analyst with troubleshooting any problems with using Banner software by utilizing Banner product manuals, Ellucian customer support site, user support groups and other available resources.
- Serve as a Financial Aid Department representative. Support and assist students with inquiries, questions, and problems. Assist with other inter-departmental tasks and assignments upon request, including but not limited, to answering incoming phone calls and assisting at the front desk.
