Working group leader who operates production equipment, completes associated documentation and performs all other duties as required of production technicians, while assisting the supervisor in directing the team of technicians on their shift. This position may prioritize, distribute and monitor daily work assignments and provide technical guidance to their assigned team to ensure product integrity and to minimize the risk of failures. The Group Leader may coordinate with other departments such as QA, QC, Purchasing and Logistics as directed by or in the absence of the supervisor. The Group Leader is responsible for ensuring that their team meets all safety, compliance and performance goals while meeting production schedules. The Group Leader will serve as the acting supervisor in the absence of the shift supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
• Manufacture of bulk pharmaceutical chemicals in accordance with customer and internal specifications
• Provide process support and troubleshooting necessary to meet production schedule
• Properly complete and check batch record documentation
• Maintain the facility in excellent FDA/GMP posture
• Characterization, labelling and disposal of waste
• Assure all production/support equipment to be in proper operating condition
• Serves as back-up for the production supervisor
• May perform other duties as required
Are you the ideal candidate?
• AA/BS in Chemistry, Engineering or other related technical field
• Minimum 1 year of production, and/or engineering experience in a cGMP manufacturing environment
• Solid understanding of cGMP and FDA regulations
