Project Coordinator
Part-time, Temporary
Position Overview:
As a Project Coordinator, you will be an integral part of the Project Management team. You will assist in supporting small parts of large projects by helping ensure that projects run efficiently and smoothly. This role provides the Project Coordinator the opportunity to work with cross functional project teams to develop timelines and oversee progress to make sure the organization’s goals are met on time.
This job is perfect for an individual who would like to understand what a project manager does and how it is done, who is interested in continuous learning and growth, and who has continually sought new challenges. This job will help enhance your skills in communication, organization, and project management.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain project documentation such as agendas, meeting notes, action registers or RAID documents, project plans, and reports
- Assist Project Managers in various task such as:
- Scheduling meetings
- Coordinating activities, resources, and information on projects
- Timeline creation
- Run meetings if PM is not available
- Gathering information for budget/costs
- Gathering Innovation Portfolio Review documentation
- Create Master Data requests
- Monitor and track project plans in Planview including moving requests to work, review timelines and project budgets/costs, and resolving progression exceptions
- Coordinate work and follow up with a multi-functional team, assuring critical milestone dates are met
- Design and implement communication templates to keep key stakeholders informed of the project’s progress
- Lead small scale projects that are important to the success of the company
- Create/maintain documentation/PMO standards
- Take leads on certain aspects of a program/project
- Provide another level of oversight on projects
Education:
- Associates Degree in Business or related field preferred
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; Project Management software experience a plus
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate clearly both orally and written
- Strong organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Effective team member with leadership qualities
- Project Management experience/education is a plus
- Ability to work independently and takes initiative with minimal supervision
- Ability to preserve confidentiality of information
Other Requirements:
- Time commitment – Maximum of 29 hours/week (Flexible schedule)
- Strong desire to learn
