A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN AP SPECIALIST
As an AP Specialist, you are essential to our company's day-to-day operations. As part of your various finance duties, you assist with managing the daily ledger and handling account reconciliations. Your keen bookkeeping skills are an asset as you match invoices to purchase orders and review statements for the appropriate documentation, authorization, and approval. As a competent researcher, you thoroughly investigate and determine the source of financial discrepancies. Vendors and purchasing agents appreciate your clear communication skills as you effectively resolve issues, process payments, and balance accounts.
Responsible and attentive, you take accountability for managing office records and securing documentation. You proactively collect W-9's, monitor 1099 compliance, and ensure that new vendors are properly set up and authorized in our system. You have a talent for analyzing and evaluating financial processes, and you enjoy providing suggestions to improve our bookkeeping procedures. QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 years of accounts payable experience
- Associate degree
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
