Overview:
The Purchasing Associate will not have contact with vendors in this role but will be responsible for replenishment and other aspects of purchasing product. **Salary commensurate with experience**
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing product purchases and rebalancing in-stock inventory in multiple branch locations including equipment, parts and supplies.
- Coordinate purchase order special buys.
- Manage inventory using forecasting tools, historical data and market demand indicators.
- Ensures the integrity of all data and that invoice discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
- Analyze and determine the best source for inventory purchasing based on company criteria.
- Identify slow moving and dead inventory and make recommendations.
- Preparation and processing of purchase orders and corresponding documents in accordance with company procedures.
- Completes all transactions and necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain product data in Johnstone’s business system.

Education and Experience:
Required:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D and minimum of one year related experience and/or training in the HVAC/R industry; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred:
- 1 year of relevant experience as a Purchasing Associate in HVAC/R or similar industry.
