Job Overview / Position Description

The General Manager is the most senior leader at Joozi Juicery and ultimately responsible for everything related to the operation, and growth of the business. In this high impact, high visibility role you will need to be meticulously organized, possess extraordinary communication skills, an expert at planning, and problem solving. Come collaborate, build, and deliver a truly unique end to end experience.

Job Responsibilities

Oversee all operations including but not limited to the following:

Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Annually, and Ongoing

  • Lead the overall management and strategic direction of the business while achieving operational targets in alignment with Joozi Juicery’s revenue, cost, and quality objectives.
  • Responsible for delivering professional, friendly, and engaging service while maintaining product quality standards that exceed customer expectations.
  • Manage a team to optimize and execute front and back of house operations including but not limited to menu and product creation, procurement, inventory control, sales, customer service, cleanliness, safety, and maintenance.
  • Identify trends in the business that can be leveraged to drive continued improvements in sales process, customer experience and cost structure.
  • Recruiting, Hiring, and Staff Management: Execute the staffing processes - Recruit, hire, onboard, train, schedule, develop, manage, lead, inspire, and retain a fully engaged and talented workforce. Responsible for the performance management of all team members and ensuring the continuous improvement of employee performance.
  • Creation and Optimization of Processes: Simply put – help create the best possible operational processes and maintain a perpetual desire for improvement. Regularly evaluate, develop, improve, and document solutions where systems, processes, technology, and automation can lead to a repeatable, efficient, effective, and scalable operations strategy.
  • Budgeting: Managing payroll, expenses, and revenues to meet the financial goals of the business. Utilize reporting tools to assess dollar spend and adherence of budget.
  • Growth & Outreach Strategies: Lead, implement, and approve growth initiatives and messaging of marketing efforts.
  • Assume responsibility for risk management throughout the business.
  • Expect to get your hands dirty working side by side with management and hourly employees.
  • Champion employee engagement and promote a collaborative and inclusive environment where all employees are encouraged to provide input.

Requirements

  • 3 years of business experience required. Experience starting your own successful business and/or working in a fast paced and successful start-up is a big plus.
  • 3 years in managing and developing a team of direct reports. Proven experience in developing others to their potential, through strategic methods. Managing a team is a big plus.
  • High School degree or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in restaurant management or hospitality a plus
  • Must have reliable transportation with clean driving record.
  • Available to work 40 hours per week including evenings and weekend work as needed.
  • Proficiency with technology including POS software, Microsoft Office products, email. as well as other additional web-based programs such as inventory, hiring, and recruiting software.
  • Ability to stand, bend, scoop, and regularly lift up to 40 pounds.
