Full job description
We are a high-end boutique residential design firm seeking an experienced, organized and enthusiastic Senior Design Manager to join the team.
This job provides the appropriate candidate the opportunity to have autonomy, creative liberty, control over project direction and full client facing interactions. The position entails all the elements you would expect of a Senior Designer including project management, client communication, setting schedules and meeting project/client deadlines. The ideal candidate should have 5 years of experience and the confidence to work independently, be motivated, fearless and able to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive, solutions-focused approach.
We use Studio Designer, knowledge of this software is a plus.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Efficiently and confidently lead and oversee projects through entire design process
- Act as a mentor, delegate tasks and provide guidance and training to junior team members.
- Develop and execute architectural and interior design across all project phases in accordance with vision.
- Effectively manage the project to meet fee budgets, design and deliver projects to client budgets, and communicate project schedules.
- Generate project documentation and drawings.
- Create professional relationships with clients and actively fulfill their needs during the project.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5 - 10 years of work experience in the Architecture/Interior Design industry, particularly in residential design.
- Bachelor of Architecture/Interior Design degree.
- Expert knowledge in CAD, Photoshop, InDesign, Sketchup and/or other computer related skills
- Managerial experience is required.
Salary/Benefits
