POSITION SUMMARY & KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

• Technical depth in one or more of the following areas related to the Label Industry 

• Coating 
• Adhesives
• Paper
• Printing methods (Thermal Transfer, Ink, Direct Thermal, etc.)
• Flexographic press operation
• In-line coating and printing equipment

• Engaging with Manufacturing in research and deployment of new equipment tied to new product requirements.
• Completion of documentation to show and ensure compliance with both internal and external regulations and protocols
• Oversight of processes and working to maintain optimization of the production line as development is transitioned to production. Defining and working with Manufacturing to deploy control plans triggered by process control events
• Assisting Process Technicians in troubleshooting in the event of a problem
• Data collection, interpretation and report writing; presentation of data and reports to senior colleagues and management
• Developing and implementing quality control systems as required for new products. Modifying existing systems, as need
• Monitoring and analyzing quality performance for new products.
• Collaborating with operations managers to develop and implement controls and improvements.
• Ensuring that workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations.
• Investigating and troubleshooting product or production issues. Developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements.
• Risk assessments of the equipment and processes being used. 
• Continual evaluation of equipment and processes to ensure both efficiency and quality remain high
• Provide input to Capital and Expense Budget
• Identify and deploy new process technology in sourcing and manufacturing locations globally. Plan and execute key projects in production areas within budgetary requirements.
• Identify and implement cost savings ideas to improve the product line.
• Regularly collaborate with external parties or product development teams.
• Defines standard at-press testing protocols including analytical and reporting methods
• Can be counted on to exceed objectives successfully; very bottom-line oriented; steadfastly pushes self and others for results.

 BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering or other related discipline required.
• 5-8 years of related experience 
• Demonstrated ability in oral and written communications, including communications and presentations to Customers.  
• Statistical process control analysis and tools
• Expert level knowledge of Excel and analytical tools
• Experience with Data Historians
• Excellent teamwork spirit
• Advanced project management experiences and skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s degree with related major in Engineering or Chemistry disciplines
• Licensed or Certified Process Engineer
• Black Belt in Six Sigma
• Project Management Certification
