One of our Transfer Facilities, located in Parsippany, NJ is currently searching for an experienced Yard Jockey due to growth! This position is based fully onsite.
What You Will Do:
- Safely relocate equipment and commercial vehicles on site to facilitate loading and staging of trucks and trailers.
- Operate trucks and equipment in accordance with all local, state and federal DOT regulations, observing all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Create and maintain any related records required, i.e., work orders, vehicle condition reports, pre-trip inspections, etc.
- Ensure trucks and surrounding work areas are kept in a clean condition.
- Other duties as assigned at managements discretion.
You Have:
- A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A): Locations may vary.
- Must meet all required DOT physical and medical requirements. As a safety sensitive employee, all drivers are subject to random substance abuse screening under DOT and company policy.
- A high degree of attention and considerable dexterity in the control of vehicles to prevent any damage to trucks, equipment and property.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, bend, stoop, and climb unassisted throughout a typical workday.
- Must be organized and motivated to succeed with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
