Join JPB Financial LLC, an expanding boutique wealth management firm strategically located in Midtown West near Penn Station/MSG. We are currently seeking a dedicated Associate Financial Planner to join our dynamic team. In this role you will be responsible for engaging with clients in a vibrant and fast-paced environment that requires working both independently and collaboratively under direct supervision of a Certified Financial Planner. Utilizing strong computer and technical analysis skills you will be monitoring and preparing reports on client portfolios and assist in the presentation of these reports in meetings. You should desire a long term career in Financial Advising be it on the support, operations, financial planning, or advising side of business.
Responsibilities
- Gather, enter, and maintain client data in various databases
- Stay up-to-date on market trends, news, and regulations
- Perform research of investments
- Answer routine client questions and service requests
- Assist with client on-boarding
- Execute trades and account rebalancing.
- Perform asset allocation analysis
- Create custom analyses of financial decisions
- Draft financial plans
- Prepare materials for client meetings
- Participate in client meetings
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 1-2 Years of Experience in Financial Services
- SIE, Series 6/7, Series 63 and 65 or 66.
- Strong PC skills are a must
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to analyze complex financial data.
- Knowledge of portfolio management techniques and strategies.
- Familiarity with financial services industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience in research and analysis of financial markets and investment opportunities.
- Knowledge of related tax laws and their impact on financial planning strategies.
- Familiarity with wills, trusts, and estate law is a plus.
- Familiarity with private placements such as private equity and REITs is a plus.
- Work experience using Excel, Wealthscape, Envestnet, eMoney, and Morningstar Advisor Workstation is a plus.
