Service Technician

Position Overview: This position is in charge of the overall performance, quality, job site safety, and execution of roof service work.

Position Responsibilities:

• Ensure safe work practices and compliance with OSHA safety standards at all times
• Execute work orders and roof service jobs with a strong emphasis on detail and quality
• Exhibit time-management skills and stay on schedule with job tasks; meet deadlines
• Ensure completion of daily-logs on buildertrend to provide job and schedule updates
• Demonstrate respect to customers, supervisors and team members at all times
• Assist with keeping assigned work truck clean, maintained, and stocked
• Properly manage all assigned tools, equipment, and material (including company vehicles)
• Notify Supervisor/Account Managers of any potential changes to the job immediately
• Regularly check weather forecast and plan ahead to maintain schedule and limit risk
• Report job incidents, accidents, concerns, and issues with supervisor the same day
• Regularly document project information and communicate with stakeholders
• Submit ALL receipts to accounting in a timely manner; no later than the end of the week

Requirements:

• Possess or attain OSHA 30 Construction Industry training prior to start of employment
• Pass initial employment background and drug test and participate in random drug testing
• Minimum 5 years of commercial & residential roofing experience (TPO, PVC, Tile, Shingle, Metal Roofing, Roof Coating, Modified-Bitumen: Torch Down, Cold Process, Self Adhered)
• Possess and maintain clean driving record and valid driver’s license
• Familiarization with utilizing a tablet and software such as: Microsoft Office, Gmail, Google Calendar, etc.)
• Willing to learn buildertrend and FCS Roofing Software
• Someone who is humble, hungry and smart and capable of representing the company in a reliable, referable, and respectable manner
• Willing to travel and work weekends as necessary
• Organized and ability to document project information.
• Exhibit trustworthiness, self-motivation, and leadership qualities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
