Small Engine Equipment Mechanic

Essential Duties:

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on Company equipment
• Test and inspect equipment to ensure equipment is in safe, working order
• Repair or replace worn, defective, or broken parts. Reassemble and reinstall components and engines following repairs
• Source and order parts as needed, obtaining best rates as possible

Physical Requirements:

• Pass initial drug test and participate in random drug test program
• Willing to travel
• Ability to drive vehicles and motorized equipment for the company 
• Frequently lift and carry 50lbs or greater
• Frequent bending, kneeling, walking, reaching, required
• Open environment (warehouse)
  
• Must be able to work in small areas
• Use of hands, good fine motor skills
  

Work Experience/ Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or GED
• 1-2 years of small engine maintenance and repair experience
• OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to complete training pre-employment)
• Current Driver's License (MO Class E or equivalent) with DOT Certification
• Must be able to obtain security clearance on military job sites
• Knowledge of small engines (lubrication, cooling, ignition, and fuel systems)
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Experience with electrical systems, plunger driven or axial pressure washer pumps and unloader systems, hydraulic theory, and associated diagnostic equipment and procedures
• Demonstrated time-management and organizational skills
