Represent clients in their pursuit of various forms of immigration relief including Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, U-Visa, Family Petitions, Adjustment of Status, Waivers, Asylum, Withholding of Removal, Cancellation of Removal, Waivers, Bond, Work Visas, Investor Visas, and Administrative Closure. Appear before USCIS, EOIR, and local family courts.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file Forms I-130, I-192, I-212, I-360, I-485, I-589, I-601, I-601A, I-765, I-918, I-918B, N-400, EOIR-42B, and supporting evidence pertaining to those forms.
- Draft legal documents and correspondence.
- Appear for matters such as USCIS Interviews, EOIR Appearances, Asylum Interviews, and Family Court.
- Coordinate with clients, office staff, and government agencies to process various casey types.
- Conduct legal research and engage in fact-finding including interviewing and counseling.
Requirements
- New York State Bar License. Additional New Jersey State Bar License Preferred.
- Fluency in English and Spanish (please do not apply if you are not fluent in both).
- 1 years of experience working on family-based immigration cases.
