Job Description: Meat Cutter
Restaurant is seeking a skilled and experienced Meat Cutter to join our team. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for preparing and cutting various types of meat to ensure high-quality products for our customers.
Duties:
- Receive and inspect meat products to ensure freshness and quality
- Cut, trim, and portion meat according to customer specifications
- Prepare meat products for display in the butcher case
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the cutting area
- Operate and maintain cutting equipment and tools
- Assist customers with selecting the right cuts of meat and provide recommendations on cooking methods
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Meat Cutter or Butcher is preferred, but will train the right individuals to.
- Knowledge of different cuts of meat and their uses
- Strong knife skills and ability to handle cutting equipment safely
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent customer service skills
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects
