Description: Our client is currently seeking Hybrid Senior Network Engineer.

This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field of study required
- Minimum of seven years network experience required in a multi-site network
- Experience with L2/L3 Switches including Advanced Routing Protocols
- Experience with Firewalls, VPNs, and Security standards
- Experience with Enterprise Wireless Networks
- Experience with Alcatel-Lucent networking equipment a plus

Provides Level III Network support for local and wide area networks and effected users
- Works with Network Engineers and assigns tasks as needed
- Maintains a working knowledge of network equipment and technologies used on hospital campuses and remote locations
- Assumes responsibility for special projects as assigned; informs Network Services Manager of project status regularly
- Develops policies and procedures associated with establishing, monitoring and maintaining LANs and WANs
- Establishes policies associated with network security
- Establishes standards for network equipment, network redundancy, and network performance/bandwidth
- Identifies and implements tools to proactively monitor network performance
- Responsible for troubleshooting performance issues not resolved by other network engineers
- Oversees the development and maintenance of local network and systems documentation
- Oversees maintaining network firmware revisions to keep our network equipment vendor supportable
- Assists the Communications staff with developing IP telephony standards
- Assists the server and communication staff with developing unified communications standards
- Responsible for design of VLAN(s) to support medical devices on the hospital network
- Develops templates for deployment of network equipment
