- This is an Engineer role, the Network Security piece is not required

- Foxtel project - supporting the tenant security framework (micro-segmentation)

- Need to have experience coding in Python

- Cloud experience with Azure or AWS

- Preference is Philly, but ok with remote (EST)

- Will go through 2023

Python Developer III

5-7 years web development experience

Can you tell me about the project and the day-to-day responsibilities for the contractor?

• Candidate will help drive continued development and roll out of the NETWORK/APPLICATION

SEGMENTATION AND AUTOMATION program, including design / architecture/ configuration

specification, prototype development, training/education content, and tool

design/implementation.

• Works with architects, engineers and development teams to design and implement automated

segmentation controls

• Assist teams with decisions on how to properly structure applications to fit into Comcast's

segmentation model

What are the top three MUST HAVE skill sets (technical) that are required?

• Hands on programming background (Python and/or Go preferred)

o 3 years Python experience

o Ruby experience, nice to have

• Strong understanding of application architecture and SDLC

o Basic understanding of networking primitives like IP addresses

o Basic understanding of how a packet gets from A to B

• Rest API development

What are top three PREFERRED skill sets (technical)?

• Familiarity with application architecture and deployment models

• Cloud/Virtualization experience (AWS preferred, Azure, Openstack, Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes)

• Strong technical writing skills including specification writing

Soft Skill requirements (team fit/personality requirements)

• Strong written and verbal technical communication

• Self-motivated / able to go from concept to prototype to specification

Public (P)

• Experience with Agile, including Scrum and/or Kanban

Are nonlocal or remote candidates considered?

• Strong preference for local to Philly area, but will considerer remote, must be able to work

during normal Eastern Time zone hours.

What is the committed timeline for interview and hire decisions?

Interviews, ASAP, decision approximately 2 week after interview
