What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food & Beverage CDL A Driver position at Julius Silvert?
This position is regional work and home daily, start time will be midnight/early morning. The selected candidate will pick up loaded tractor trailer from our Philadelphia location and deliver/unload to our Savage, MD location. This position also includes Backhaul pickups where 2-3 deliveries may be required.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years recent experience driving a 53 reefer trailer
- Must possess a Commercial Drivers License with a solid MVR
- Stable employment history.
- Capable of representing our company in a respectable and professional manner.
- Efficient team player with good communication skills that is proactive, positive, conscientious, organized, and efficient
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent certification preferred.
- Must be able to pass a background check and a DOT physical and drug screen test.
Responsibilities:
- Operates 53 tractor trailer safely at all times
- Linehaul driver between our Philadelphia location & Savage Md.
- Pick-up of backhauls at vendor location for delivery to warehouse as needed
- Oversee the offload/reload of pallets at cross dock.
- Maintain the following:
- DOT e-logs
- Daily Vehicle Inspection Report
- Company Check-In/Check-Out documents
- Responsible for keeping company truck in good condition.
