Barista

Job Overview:

Join our team as a Barista and be part of creating a warm and welcoming environment for our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages and food items to customers, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Responsibilities:

- Open/close the shop on scheduled days
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages such as coffee, tea, and specialty drinks
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions
- Maintain cleanliness of the cafe area including brewing equipment, counters, and tables
- Assist in food preparation such as sandwiches, pastries, and salads
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns promptly

Experience:

- Previous experience in customer service or food service preferred
- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques is a plus
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and handling payments
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems is beneficial
- Experience in retail math calculations is advantageous

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 35 per week
