*UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT*
Just Believe Recovery Center is seeking an energetic, compassionate, dynamic, detail-oriented Licensed Substance Abuse Clinician, or Co-occurring Therapist looking to work for our detox/residential substance abuse treatment center. Candidate must comply with all regulations pertaining to confidentiality, HIPAA, and practice in accordance with professional and ethical guidelines.
Responsibilities include facilitating psychotherapy groups, conducting weekly individual psychotherapy counseling sessions, treatment plan development, conducting substance abuse or co-occurring assessments, attending weekly clinical supervision/multidisciplinary team meetings, and providing client progress updates to referral sources.
Must hold an active clinical license such as LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT.
The therapist/counselor will be responsible for helping people manage and overcome substance abuse, mental and emotional issues. The candidate will diagnose, treat, and help clients create coping strategies. They will counsel, listen, support, and monitor the clients for progress. The counselor/therapist will work with individuals, in a group setting, and will help provide community resources for clients.
Specific areas of responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- The ability to complete a Bio psycho social assessments and other relevant assessments to treatment.
- The appropriate candidate will also do individual counseling, group counseling, participate in activities, participate in multidisciplinary meetings.
- The ability to build a positive rapport with clients and team members.
- Assists in formulation, implementation, evaluation and modification of a sound plan of care for assigned clients.
- Participates as a vital member of a multi disciplinary team through consultation with other departments including psych and medical.
- Contributes to the development of the respective professional role within the department and promotes a therapeutic milieu.
- Provides therapy in compliance with internal policies, external governing statues, and guidelines.
- Demonstrates ability to perform special projects when assigned.
- Ability to enthusiastically participate and continue to grow other programs including client activities as part of the therapeutic healing process.
- Positively responds to guidance and continues to develop skills and to grow as a clinician.
- Demonstrates excellent organizational skills and is an originator of new ideas.
- Demonstrates competence with documentation and the ability to stay in compliance with standards and licensing regulations.
- Ability to perform other tasks.
Job Requirements:
- LMHC, LCSW or LMFT required
- Knowledge of the behavioral, psychological, physical health and social effects of psychoactive substances on the user and significant others.
- Ability to interact effectively with patients, families in an emphatic and professional manner.
- Candidate must have experience with Electronic Medical Records System.
- Full-time shift needed.
- Weekends and Evenings needed.
