Justrite Manufacturing, the leading source of storage, handling and security products including fire prevention safety equipment for hazardous materials, environmental protection spill containment devices, and specialized storage products is seeking Cycle Counter to join their operation at the Mattoon, IL location.
Job Summary:
The Cycle Counter is responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity. Additional responsibilities include counting and monitoring product inventories to ensure materials align with the declared lists and documents. Besides their cycle counting responsibilities, they are also in charge of conducting reviews and assessments, measuring, and weighing products, maintaining records, organizing products according to protocols, locating lost goods, and reporting inconsistent or damaged goods. Moreover, a cycle counter may also develop and recommend strategies to enhance inventory procedures, aid staff, and participate in maintaining work areas clean.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Monitoring and controlling inventory integrity
- Create and maintain a cycle count schedule based on ABC analysis
- Research inventory discrepancies and ability to reconcile them
- Responsible for completing physical inventories/cycle counts/random or receipt audits/reconciliations
- Create and maintain cycle count accuracy monthly report
- Resolve inventory problems in a timely manner
- Document damaged product
- Create and maintain detailed year to date inventory transaction report
- Utilize an RF gun to perform plan cycle counts as well as unplanned counts to reconcile shipping discrepancies
- Adhere to Inventory Adjustment (IA) Policy
- Work with value stream managers to ensure production and transfers are done correctly
REQUIRED CHARACTISTICS, QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Two or more years work experience with similar responsibilities
- APICS certified in CPIM (Certified Planning Inventory Management) required
- Proficiency in Excel is strongly suggested
- Experience using MAPICS a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management
- Ability to work independently
- Solution-based thinker
- Enjoys a hands-on position
- Process oriented; high attention to detail
- Excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to meet deadlines especially during physical inventories.
