The Role at a glance:
We are looking to add a skilled, experienced driver to our team in Alamogordo. As a driver, you will have the opportunity to transport a variety of goods to various locations each day. This role is physically demanding. Moving, stacking, and down-stacking pallets will be required regularly. Moving, assembling, or disassembling equipment and other non-food items will be required.
What you'll be doing:
- Transporting materials to and from assigned destinations in a safe and effective manner, complying with all DOT rules and regulations alongside state and city traffic laws.
- Complete thorough inspections of any utilized company equipment, before and after each trip.
- Keeping open communication with dispatch to ensure notification of any issues or delays on the route.
Specific Duties
This role does not have direct reports but is considered supervisory. The incumbent will be responsible for the following:
- Inspecting vehicles daily using mandated checklist
- Driving safely and responsibly
- Be punctual and meet strict timeframes
- Delivering orders to all 12 schools each week
- Managing warehouse inventory, organization, and cleanliness
- Receiving shipments, verifying quantities and quality of products
- Observing strict allergen and food safety precautions/procedures
- Dating all product at receiving and delivery points
- Assisting schools in put up their orders
- Taking inventory of incoming shipments and outgoing deliveries
- Assisting with inventory at schools when needed
- Transporting catering equipment and food when needed
- Other related duties will be required
What we're looking for:
Must-haves:
- A valid state driver’s license for [commercial vehicles and/or a medical card from an approved DOT medical examiner].
- An acceptable driving record and excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks.
Nice-to-haves:
- At least one years’ experience driving commercially.

- Additional hours may be available for after hours catering events.
