Job Title: Field Service Technician

K.E. Fischer LLC is the industry leader in providing tire manufacturers with steel and textile cord cutting machinery. This machinery is used primarily for manufacturing rubber coated steel wire and fabric layers (known as calendared cord material) used in tire carcasses and tire belts.
These layers for the supporting structure for the tire and ensure driving stability. K.E. Fischer’s machinery cuts and processes these cord types with absolute precision. We provide our customers with installation, troubleshooting service, and repair of these industrial process cord cutting lines that are manufactured in Germany by our parent company Karl Eugen Fischer
GmbH. We also provide spare and replacement parts support, as well as modifications to existing lines. K.E. Fischer LLC is based in Lawton, OK and operates as a subsidiary of the parent company Karl Eugen Fischer GmbH.

K.E. Fischer is seeking a motivated and experienced individual to fill a field service technician position. A qualified candidate will have an industrial background in maintenance, manufacturing, and/or construction. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to join a company that is on the forefront of providing innovative technological equipment and services to its customers. This is a position that requires travel up to 70% of the time with some international travel being necessary. The duration of the travel assignments typically ranges from 1-8 continuous weeks. A qualified candidate must be willing to relocate/commute to the
Lawton, OK office when not on a remote jobsite. However, this requirement may be waived for the proper candidate. Training will be provided. Qualified candidates will be subject to a 90 day probationary period. An excellent benefits package will be offered. Pay is commensurate with experience/education.

Job Requirements:

 Must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation, including machine foundation and layout plans

 Must be able to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation

 Demonstrate ability to work cohesively with others and in a safe manner

 Ability to work independently and unsupervised at remote client jobsites

 Ability to stay self-motivated while working independently on remote client jobsites

 Good written and oral communication skills are required

 Must be willing to work in/learn metric units of measurement

 Ability to utilize basic computer skills to keep accurate records and reports for submitting to the office and customers working with Microsoft Office Suite

 Troubleshooting skills are a must in order to assist customers both offsite and onsite in order to help minimize unplanned machine downtime

 Demonstrate a working knowledge of electrical and mechanical skills including working with conveyor systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, machine alignment and leveling

 Ability to pass a background check and drug screen and be able to obtain a passport

Desired Qualifications:

 5 years working in an industrial manufacturing or similar environment

 Working knowledge of PLC systems, motion control systems, and motor controllers

 Highly skilled in mechanical knowledge and have ability to make precise measurements and adjustments

 History of machine installations from ground up including alignment, leveling, and surveying installation sites

 Ability to troubleshoot machinery issues in a fast paced and stressful manufacturing environment
