The Compliance Analyst will act as a subject matter expert on mortgage industry standards (e.g. FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, HUD, and Fair Lending Guidelines) and lending guidelines (e.g. Conventional, FHA, VA, Non-QM, etc.). Provides support to the Compliance Department and will also work with Mortgage Operations, Production, Closing and Post Closing to meet regulatory and compliance needs. Assist with Pre-Funding monthly audits on loans scheduled to close and report findings to Senior Management. Monitor and analyze developing trends and changes in applicable mortgage-related laws and regulations. Assist management with the implementation of regulatory changes. Monitor regulatory compliance within the loan origination system, Encompass, and ensure accuracy of system functions. Prepare loans for Subpoena and Summons. Respond to questions from associates throughout the company regarding complex TRID, Regulation B, and other regulatory issues.
Associate's degree preferred (but not required) or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. A combination of five years of mortgage experience with at least one to two years as a Senior Processor and/or Mortgage Underwriter. Proficiency in AUS, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
