DIRECTOR OF CREATIVE SERVICES & GRAPHIC DESIGN

An example of job duties includes but are not limited to:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive creative and graphic strategy for K-State Athletics, including its 16 teams
• Create content for web, print, and social media channels
• Create content for athletics teams for recruiting purposes
• Assist external athletic departments (FES, Ahearn Fund, etc.) in creation and graphic needs
• Assist in capturing photos and/or videos of behind-the scenes content, live game action, and the game day experience
• Maintain regular office hours, schedule project meetings and complete other associated work throughout the week, including nights and weekends as needed
• Duties relating to storytelling, brand building, fan engagement through digital platforms
• Oversee student designers, assign projects, and develop growth plan for students

Minimum Qualifications:

• One to three years of professional graphic design experience
• One to three years of professional experience with social media platforms including managing and posting to multiple accounts
• Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and have a strong design portfolio that highlights layout, typography, and visual hierarchy; and
• Must be current with graphic trends and techniques in the sports industry

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of social media landscape and experience creating design solutions across multiple platforms
• Experience shooting and editing photos and video
• Exhibit meticulous attention to detail, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and must be organized and able to prioritize and manage many projects at any given time
• Knowledge of NCAA and Big 12 Conference rules and regulations

Other Requirements:

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal; must be able to promote and demonstrate respect, collaboration and friendly customer service in all working relationships and situations
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required; and may require occasional travel
