Job Title: Event Host
Department: Cashiers
Reports to: General Manager
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: K1 Speed is the best place to host your birthday or event! We are looking for an extremely detailed individual with excellent communication skills to host our events to ensure total guest satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinating with the General Manager to ensure proper staffing of event times.
- Following up with customers to confirm event details prior to the date of.
- Ensuring party rooms are set up and ready for the event.
- Checking in party groups and remaining with them throughout the event to accommodate any needs they may have.
- Announcing podium ceremony results with great enthusiasm!
- Assisting in cleaning up the event space to get ready for the next party.
- Reviewing party inventory to notify the General Manager when supplies are low.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Must be 18 years of age.
High school diploma
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and respond to questions.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear over 2/3 of the time.
Sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste or smell under 1/3 of the time.
Lift or exert force of up to 10 pounds over 2/3 of the time, up to 25 pounds 1/3 to 2/3 of the time, up to 50 pounds under 1/3 of the time and more than 50 pounds under 1/3 of the time.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed predominantly in an indoor environment that is exposed through openings in the building to the outdoors. The work environment of this job typically has a moderate level of noise

Pay: From $17.50 per hour
