K9 Grillz Non-Anesthetic Dental is seeking a Veterinary Assistant (or a Veterinary Technician interested in learning how to perform non-anesthetic dentals) to support our mobile non-anesthetic dental practice in the Los Angeles area! As part of a mobile practice, you will commute to the mobile location each day (various locations across Los Angeles Metro area).
We are opening a beautiful new brick and mortar clinic in West LA close to the 10 / 405 intersection. You will then have the opportunity to work in both the clinic and our mobile units.
Requirements :
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to operate a vehicle.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 40-50 lbs.
- Experience with the following preferred :
- Current Veterinary Certification (experienced assistants / non-certified individuals will be considered)
- Cleaning and sterilizing equipment
- Basic medical mathematics
- Inventory management
- Client communication and relationship development

Responsibilities :
- Act as the extra eyes, ears and hands for the veterinarian and veterinary technician to ensure the best quality pet care and to maximize the veterinarian's and veterinary technician's productivity.
- Communicate with veterinarian and veterinary technicians and all other associates to maintain the flow of patients.
- Provide professional, efficient, and exceptional service always. This includes completing preparatory work for other appointments and ensuring that clients and pets are comfortable before, during and after appointments.
- Educate clients about preventive care, pet health needs and other issues.
- Obtain relevant information and history from clients and assist with maintenance of proper and complete medical charts.
- Ensure the safety of pets, clients, and associates by utilizing safe restraining techniques, following standard protocols, and maintaining clean, sterile and organized treatment areas, exam rooms and labs.
