Position Overview:
Eagle Harbor Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a UX/UI Developer to join a development team supporting both established projects and building applications from the ground up. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader and team player that is passionate about technology and committed to lifelong learning, possessing the ability to apply their technical knowledge, skills, and experience to solve complex/real-world problems. Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance to support EHS and our government customer.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
As an UX/UI Developer, you will be responsible for delivering quality online user experience, which makes your role extremely important for our success and ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty. You will be designing graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs, forms, and widgets.
Plan and implement designs.
- Optimize existing user interface designs.
- Test for intuitive use and experience
- Communicate with clients to understand their business goals and objectives.
- Develop technical and business requirements and always strive to deliver intuitive and user-centered solutions.
- Combine creativity with an awareness of the design elements.
- Create prototypes for product ideas.
- Test ideas before implementation.
- Conduct ongoing user research.
Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- The successful candidate will have experience in the following:
- UI design portfolio
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to discuss and explain design options.
- Detail oriented
- Critical thinker
- Problem solver and customer-centered
- Knowledge of Adobe range of products including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat and Dreamweaver
- Experience with HTML5 & CSS3
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (a degree in Computer Science desirable)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an UX/UI Developer or similar role
- Candidates without a college degree will be considered but must have at least 8 years of relevant design engineering experience.
- Eligible to obtain DOI Public Trust Moderate clearance
- Must be a US citizen or have a Green Card or have an Employment Authorization Document and lived in the US consistently for at least 3 years.
Desired Skills:
- A proven track record of proactively identifying and solving problems.
- Familiarity with IT-related artifacts, such as architecture diagrams, use cases, activity diagrams, etc.
- Self-driven and independently committed.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, etc.
