Overview
Kahler Grand Hotel downtown Rochester- We are looking for a diligent Hotel Night Auditor to join our hotel staff. night auditor is responsible for overseeing front desk at hotel during the night shift. Duties include helping guests check in or check out, reviewing guest payments and other details from the day shift to ensure guests provided payment for their stay or additional requests and acting as a point of communication for customer needs. Responsible for verifying that all revenue and expenses were claimed, preparing reports for the next day's work including reconciling accounts at a high level of detail. The night auditor perform the duties of both an accountant and a front desk agent by bookkeeping and processing finances as well as checking in guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare daily Restaurant Revenue Report data by auditing tapes/journals
- Run audit reports/journals from all computer profit centers and outlets
- Make corrections and adjustments and handle all computer problems that might occur throughout their shift.
- Enter data into computer for revenue/expenses/allowances to generate daily reports
- Balance all revenue and settlement accounts nightly
- Maintain files and reset the system for next day operations.
- Ensure all reports and back-up vouchers are complete and filed properly
- Perform Front Office Agent duties as needed.
Supportive Functions
- Review and correct discrepancies in the Front Desk System
- Coordinate with Front Office and restaurants/bars closing of file maintenance and reset system totals for next day operation.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor
Qualifications

- Must have knowledge of accounting operations.
- Strong computer skills.
- Must be able to operate standard office equipment
- Must be able to effectively deal with guest and employee concerns in a friendly and positive manner.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- One year experience in a similar size operation required
- Hotel experience preferred
