Position: Product Manager
Department: Research & Development
Location: Alpharetta, Georgia or Remote
Reports To: VP of Product Management
Job Scope and Accountabilities:
The Product Manager works closely with external and internal customers to understand the processes and requirements that Kahua will enable and then translates those into documentation that is used by our development team to create and deliver a solution. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be a thought leader in the organization
- Contribute to the overall product roadmap, and manage prioritization and tradeoffs against customer experience and time to market
- Compile requirements for individual projects into precise documentation needed by our development team
- Write stories and groom the backlog, ensuring the team is working on the right thing at the right time
- Organize and write supporting documents for Kahua offerings
- Gather usability feedback from customers
- Create buy-in for the product vision both with direct internal team and other teams
- Measure and analyze existing functionality for opportunities to innovate and improve, providing additional benefits to customers
- Drive product launches including working with other product managers, customers, training teams, marketing, etc.
- Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals
- Provide input on internal processes and policies as well as indicators for success
Education/Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is required
- Construction industry knowledge is required
- 2 years working in a Product Management or similar role focusing on AEC applications is preferred
Interpersonal Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to take complex information and translate it into succinct documentation for colleagues and consumers
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Analytical thinking skills to help analyze and troubleshoot issues
- Effective relationship skills while interacting with diverse personalities
- Solid technical background with understanding and hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
