Job Overview: 


We are seeking an HR Coordinator to join our creative agency. This role will work closely with our Professional Employer Organization (PEO) to support HR operations, ensuring seamless integration between internal HR functions and the services provided by the PEO. The ideal candidate is a proactive HR professional with experience in recruitment, employee relations, and policy compliance. This role is ideal for someone who is an independent self-starter. We are looking for an individual who is creative, driven, and has a strong inclination for getting things done. Strong attention to detail is critical for success in this role. Key Responsibilities: 


1. Recruitment and Hiring: 

   - Coordinate with the PEO to develop and implement effective recruitment strategies. 

   - Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and shortlist candidates for final selection. 

   - Schedule interviews and assist hiring managers in coordinating the interview process. 

   - Manage onboarding process in collaboration with the PEO, ensuring a positive experience. 


2. Employee Relations: 

   - Act as a liaison between management and employees to foster a positive working relationship. 

   - Handle routine employee grievances, and disputes with professionalism and confidentiality. 

   - Collaborate with the PEO to ensure proper resolution of employee relations issues. 

   - Lead change initiatives for restructuring teams  

   - Supports Engagement Committee initiatives 

   - Plan events in the studio (cookouts, activities, etc.) 


3. Performance Management: 

   - Assist managers in setting performance goals and objectives. 

   - Monitor progress and provide constructive performance feedback to employees. 

   - Collaborate with the PEO to refine performance management frameworks. 

   - Assist teams with accurate and timely completion of skill assessments and performance reviews 


4. Training and Development:  

   - Identify training needs across the organization and coordinate relevant training programs. 

   - Organize workshops and team-building activities to strengthen the agency's culture. 


5. Compensation and Benefits: 

   - Coordinate benefits administration with the PEO, ensuring seamless enrollment and communication. 

   - Assist in managing employee comp plans in alignment with industry standards and company policies. 


6. HR Policy Development and Compliance:  

   - Assist in reviewing and updating HR policies and procedures. 

   - Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and regulations working with PEO. 

   - Complete employment eligibility documentation, including I-9's and E-Verify in a timely manner 

   - Collaborate with the PEO to ensure consistency in policy development and compliance. 


7. HR Administration: 

   - Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data confidentiality. 

   - Run periodic data audits PEO data to ensure data consistency and accuracy 

   - Prepare regular HR reports and metrics for management review. 

   - Manage employee timekeeping and attendance systems efficiently in coordination with the PEO. 

   - Assist with HR budget planning and tracking throughout the year. 


Collaboration with the PEO Firm: 

- Work with the PEO to ensure comprehensive payroll and tax administration. 

- Completes employment eligibility documentation, including I-9's and E-Verify in a timely manner 

- Partner with the PEO to support risk management, workers’ compensation, and compliance. 

- Utilize the PEO's HR technology platform for efficient data management and analytics. 

- Leverage the PEO’s resources for employee relations support and conflict resolution. 

- Assist 3rd party auditors with HR information needed for compliance reporting.

$50,000 - $55,000 a year
Qualifications: 
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 
- 1-3 years of experience in an HR support role. 
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR policies, and best practices. 
- Proven ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. 
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. 
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment. 

Preferred Qualifications: 
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus. 
- Previous experience working in a creative agency or similar industry. 
- Proficiency with HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
